MoTA Museum of Temporary Art
See Line Gallery presents Museum of Temporary Art curated by Janet Levy, an evolving group exhibition in homage to Janet Schmuckal and MOTA wherein the artists reference time, space and temporariness. The exhibition includes works on paper, posters, monoprints, photography, objects, collage, video, painting and sculpture.
MOTA was a pioneer alternative venue for the arts between 1974 and 1982 located in Washington, DC. Founder Janet Scmuckal was the heart and soul of MOTA during its existence. MOTA was a cultural museum, a multi-media press, a community arts program, a small press collection and a multi-media performance space. Participating artists include:
